04Overview

How do you choose a WordPress developer in Dubai?

Sanjeev Singh is a WordPress developer for Dubai and UAE businesses, working from Lucknow, India, just 1.5 hours ahead of Dubai. He builds custom WordPress themes, English and Arabic websites and WooCommerce stores with UAE payment gateways, VAT-inclusive pricing and WhatsApp built in. Every project starts with a fixed written quote within 24 hours, and the business owns the code and every login.

A good WordPress developer for a Dubai business does more than install a theme. UAE customers expect prices shown with 5% VAT included, tax invoices with the company’s TRN, card payments through a local gateway such as N-Genius or Telr, and buy now, pay later through Tabby or Tamara. Many also expect a full Arabic version with a true right-to-left layout and separate Arabic pages for Google, not a machine-translated copy.

Sanjeev works on UAE hours. His working day runs from 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM Dubai time, Monday to Saturday, so calls, WhatsApp messages and changes happen inside the UAE business day. Clients see every page on a staging link as it is built, which replaces office visits.

His UAE work includes Technest, a Dubai security company whose dated Elementor site was rebuilt as a fast bilingual theme with 14 layouts the team edits themselves, and Laptop Factory, a Sharjah workshop that sells renewed business laptops through a WooCommerce store showing the exact spec, grade and price against new. He has also built Syncglim, a B2B catalog in ten languages, which shows the same theme approach can carry Arabic, English and more.

He serves businesses across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the wider Gulf, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Typical projects are company websites, redesigns of Elementor or Divi sites, WooCommerce stores and speed fixes for slow sites. A company site usually takes one to six weeks, and adding Arabic or a store adds time that is written into the quote.

Before hiring any developer in the UAE, ask who owns the code and hosting, how Arabic will be handled, which payment gateways are included and whether VAT has been set up correctly. Sanjeev’s answer to the first is simple: you own everything from day one. Payment is in US dollars against milestones, released only after you have seen each stage working.

Launching a WordPress site in the UAE: a checklist

Most of a good UAE website is the same as anywhere else. These are the parts that are different, and the ones I check before every UAE launch.

Prices and VAT

  1. Show prices with VAT included. Customers in the UAE expect the price they see to be the price they pay, and the standard VAT rate is 5%.
  2. Put your TRN on invoices. If you’re VAT-registered, order emails and invoices should carry your Tax Registration Number.
  3. Ask your accountant to check the setup once. Rules differ for free zones and some product types.

Payment options

Option What it is When you need it
N-Genius (Network International) Card payments from one of the region’s largest processors Most UAE stores taking cards
Telr UAE card gateway with a WooCommerce plugin Smaller stores that want a fast setup
Tabby Buy now, pay later, split into instalments Fashion, electronics, anything over a few hundred dirhams
Tamara Buy now, pay later, popular in the UAE and Saudi Arabia Same as Tabby; many stores offer both
Cash on delivery Pay the courier Still expected by part of the market

Language

  1. Decide on Arabic before design, not after. Adding it later usually means rebuilding layouts.
  2. Give Arabic its own URLs (for example /ar/), so Google can show the right language to the right searcher.
  3. Translate everything a customer touches: menus, buttons, form errors, emails and the checkout.

Trust and privacy

  1. Publish a privacy policy that explains what your forms and cookies collect. The UAE has its own data protection law.
  2. Show a landline or WhatsApp number and a physical address. UAE buyers check both before ordering.
  3. Add your Google Business Profile link and keep the name, address and phone identical everywhere.

13Questions

Can I hire a WordPress developer for my Dubai business who isn’t based in the UAE?

Yes. I work with UAE clients from Lucknow, India, which is only 1.5 hours ahead of Dubai, so we share the whole working day. Calls, WhatsApp and a staging link replace office visits, and you can see every page as it’s built.

Can my WooCommerce store take Tabby or Tamara?

Yes. Both offer WooCommerce plugins. I set them up alongside a card gateway such as N-Genius or Telr and test the full checkout in sandbox mode before launch.

How do you handle VAT on a UAE website?

Prices are shown with 5% VAT included, tax is calculated per order, and invoices and order emails carry your Tax Registration Number. Your accountant should confirm the setup for your business.

Do you build Arabic websites?

Yes. I build English and Arabic sites on one theme with a true right-to-left layout and separate Arabic pages for Google. My Arabic and English website page covers this in detail.

Can you redesign my existing site without losing my Google rankings?

Yes. I map every old URL to its new one with 301 redirects and keep your titles and content, so rankings carry over to the new design.

How long does a website for a UAE business take?

Anywhere from one to six weeks, depending on the project. Adding Arabic or a WooCommerce store adds time, and the written quote gives your exact timeline before we start.

Who owns the website when it’s done?

You do. The code, the domain, the hosting and every login are in your name from day one.
